Classic Car Overview
This 2001 RUF RGT is one of a claimed 17 examples built by the Pfaffenhausen, Germany-based manufacturer, and the coupe was initially delivered to Japan. It was brought to British Columbia, Canada, in 2022, and imported to the US by the prior owner in 2024, after which it was purchased by the selling dealer. The car is finished in Midnight Blue and features revised front and rear valances, side skirts, and a rear spoiler.
Power is supplied by a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six mated to a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. It rides on 18 RUF wheels with adjustable coilover shock absorbers and slotted and ventilated disc brakes.
Inside, the optional Recaro Clubsport bucket seats have been re-trimmed in gray microsuede and are accompanied by a RUF three-spoke steering wheel, green-letter instrumentation, a RUF Integrated Roll Cage (IRC), and a Porsche Classic touchscreen stereo. The center console is also finished in Midnight Blue, and gray Alcantara extends to the headliner and integrated roll cage.
Work performed in 2024 is said to have involved replacing the tires, cleaning the underside with dry ice, refinishing a number of bodywork components, performing a paint correction, and applying a ceramic coating.
A RUF steering wheel frames RUF-branded instrumentation that includes a central tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline and an integrated digital display flanked by a 330-km/h speedometer as well as gauges monitoring voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 31k kilometers (19k miles).
