Classic Car Overview

To Be OFFERED AT AUCTION WITHOUT RESERVE at RM Sothebys Arizona event, 23 January 2026.
Offered Without Reserve $80,000 - $100,000 USD

  • Striking, well-optioned 996-generation 911 Turbo
  • Finished in lovely Lapis Blue Metallic paint over a Graphite Grey full leather interior
  • Features rarely seen Light Burr Maple Wood interior trim
  • 415-hp, 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat six-cylinder engine; six-speed manual transmission
  • Showing 7,116 miles at the time of cataloguing, with over $13,000 in service and restoration work completed in 2024

First unveiled in September 1999, Porsches new 996-generation 911 Turbo featured all-wheel drive and a new water-cooled 415-horsepower engine derived from the spectacular 911 GT1 racecar. Both attributes were instrumental in the car achieving a zero to 62 mph time of just 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph. Impressive by any measure and in any form, the model could be further elevated by a well-chosen specification, as seen on the car offered here.

Completed on 16 May 2001, this Porsche 911 Turbo left the factory with an exceptional list of options as shown on its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. The handsomely finished exterior sports Lapis Blue Metallic paint over a Graphite Grey full leather interior with Metropol Blue deviated stitching and carpets. The interior is furnished with the elegant Light Burr Maple Wood interior package, which extends to the gearshift knob, brake handle, and steering wheel. The center console is painted to match the exterior and provides a welcome dash of color.

Other eye-catching details include a stainless-steel kick plate with the Turbo insignia on the door sills and aluminum pedals. The full leather seats feature both lumbar support and heating for maximum comfort. Further convenience options include a navigation system, digital sound package with a six-disc CD changer, and auto-dimming mirrors. An elegant silver Porsche crest was fitted to the hood after delivery and is installed today, though the original crest separately accompanies the car.

Delivered new to an individual in Massachusetts, the Porsche quickly exchanged hands in 2002 but remained with its second owner until 2021. It would gain just its third owner from new in 2024. Sparingly used over the past two decades, just 7,116 miles showed on the odometer at the time of cataloguing. Under current ownership, the car was treated to over $13,000 in service and cosmetic work completed in 2024, as documented by invoices on file. Autobahn Porsche of Fort Worth, Texas, performed work including routine oil and fluid changes and belt replacements, fitment of a new coolant pump, spark plug and ignition coil replacement, hood strut replacement, and renewal of various filters, gaskets, and sensors as needed. Further, its interior wood trim was restored and replaced as needed, ensuring that the maple veneers remain as eye-catching as they were when new.

As a result of the self-evident care lavished on the car over so many years, this 911 Turbo presents in wonderful condition. It is accompanied by a set of owners books, service records, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

With 911 models of all types especially Turbos perennially popular among collectors and enthusiasts, this well-specified example will surely remain sought after for years to come, thanks to its excellent condition, handsome color scheme, and desirable factory options, a combination not often seen today on type 996 Porsches. To view this car and others currently consigned to this auction, please visit the RM website at rmsothebys.com/auctions/az26/.
