I purchased this car as a lease return from San Jose British Motors in 2006 and have been the second owner ever since. The car has been enthusiast-owned for nearly 20 years and comes with complete service records from my ownership.
Major maintenance and upgrades include:
- Timing chain tensioners replaced (2010)
- Water pump replaced (2015)
- New convertible top (2020)
- New seats (2020)
- Professionally installed premium audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (2020)
- Cosmetic refinishing completed (2023)
The custom audio system was professionally installed by Sound in Simplicity and provides exceptional sound quality while adding modern smartphone connectivity. The installation includes a dedicated subwoofer enclosure in the passenger footwell area, which reduces available passenger legroom somewhat compared to a stock XKR.
The car has experienced previous accident damage during my ownership, including a significant repair shortly after I purchased it in 2006. The repairs were professionally completed, and I have since driven the car approximately 100,000 miles over the following two decades. Documentation and service records are available for review.
This is not a concours show car, but rather a well-sorted, well-documented drivers car that has been maintained, improved, and enjoyed throughout long-term ownership.
