LARRY'S LEGEND LIVES

Given that the 21st century has seen a sort of return to the roots aspect for the Mustang, it was probably only a matter of time before the Boss 302 made a return. Over the last few years there's been steady and growing interest in the concept of a new-age Trans Am Special.

1982 Mustang GT

Jim Clarke led the charge with the creation of the 5.0 HO V8 for the Mustang in 1982 and was responsible for the continuous improvement of the 5.0 throughout the '80s. What Jim and his team accomplished is truly amazing.

Classic Car Overview

I love my Bullitt! It's one of 717, a Mustang "True Blue" collectible car. Make sure you see the edition # under the hood to ensure that it is an authentic Bullitt, the first edition since the famous movie, Bullitt, starred by Steve McQueen.

Now that you are searching for mine and found it, you should Google Ford's specs for my car. It is very special. The suspension is uniquely designed to hold the road better than ever before, even the Cobra. Yes, it's a fact. That's why it is SO much fun driving it, especially in curves, in the mountains of the Carolinas with its hairpin curves. It hugs the road better than a Shelby 500, because of the weight ratio and it's much lighter. I love driving it!

But...a divorce, then a new business practice requires me to part with it. I am only the second owner. It has always been garaged. Once you see it in person, you'll easily see why the original paint sparkles. That first owner was a non-smoker like me. Also, I weigh 132 lbs. at 5'9", so there is very little wear even in the driver's seat. Rarely did anyone sit in the back seat, like three times ever. So, you see, this Bullitt is ideal for you to own this one. No, it has some mileage, always non-ethanol, the best fuel, and maintained. I have all records, the original dealer window sticker and manual. It has excellent Michelins, and, oh, it's all original, no tricks, no supercharger. I'm 64 years young, so I am a purist when it comes to cars, especially my Mustang.

Seeing is believing. Evidence defeats doubt. Drive it. You'll love it like me.

So, it's up to you. I don't have to sell it. The ex-wife got lots, but not my cars.
