This 2001 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning combines the unmistakable styling of Fords second-generation Lightning with substantial performance upgrades and a well-documented ownership history. Finished in Silver Metallic over the signature two-tone SVT interior, this regular-cab, short-bed performance truck retains the clean factory appearance that made the Lightning one of the most recognizable sport trucks of its era. It currently shows approximately 79,500 miles and has had just two owners, with the original owner retaining the truck from 2001 until 2022.



Under the hood is a professionally built Johnny Lightning Performance (JLP) seasoned long block featuring forged internals, installed after an engine failure associated with a head-gasket issue. The build was designed to comfortably support the trucks existing Kenne Bell 2.3-liter supercharger and approximately 20 pounds of boost. Supporting the combination are upgraded injectors, intake, fuel-system components, and tuning. The transmission has also received previous performance work. The result is a seriously quick Lightning with an estimated output of over 500 horsepower while retaining the street manners and usability that make these trucks so enjoyable.



The truck has accumulated roughly 9,000 miles since the replacement engine was installed, providing meaningful road time on the current combination. The CARFAX also documents extensive maintenance during the current ownership period, including cooling-system work, transmission-fluid service, brake service, a replacement radiator, starter, differential service, transmission seals, spark plugs, mass-air-flow sensor, and a recent alignment.



Inside, the Lightning retains its distinctive SVT two-tone sport seats, white-face instrumentation, and driver-focused factory layout. An updated Sony touchscreen head unit brings the audio system up to modern standards, while upgraded Pioneer speakers provide improved sound. The cabin presents as a largely stock-appearing Lightning interior while adding modern convenience.

Its lowered, purposeful stance remains one of the defining characteristics of the second-generation Lightning. CARFAX reports a minor accident in November 2016 involving damage to the left side and left rear, with no structural damage or airbag deployment reported.
