2001 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
This super C5 is ripe for the picking.
The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!
Classic Car Overview
The C5 Corvette was a major upgrade from the outgoing C4. Chevrolet’s all new LS1 replaced the LT1 in the previous generation, and allowed for 50-50 weight distribution. The engine put out 345 hp, which was bumped to 350 hp in 2001. The chassis was more refined too, and reduced squeaks and rattles common to the C4. And, for the first time since 1962, the Corvette had a usable trunk. A little known fact, the C5 Corvette was the last production car to wear pop-up headlamps.
