Classic Car Overview
2000 Pontiac Trans Am A muscle car, by definition, is a powerful and sporty vehicle that must be able to spin its tires at will. The Firebird Trans Am is capable of laying down twin black streaks of rubber several hundred feet long. We wanted to be sure it could but didnt dare especially due to the cars low mileage. For consignment originally from our friends up north in the St. Therese, Canada assembly plant, this sculpted, aerodynamic T-topped muscle car. With its extremely low original miles, the WS6 version has a mere 6,852 on the clock. A consigner stated original car which has been garage kept, and all in showroom condition. Exterior All dressed up in bright red, from the 2 bumps at the front of the fenders that magically turn into headlights, to the Ram Air intake cowling hood flanked by 2 front fender bumps, and more intake inlets on the quarter panels, to the severely raked windscreen, to the rear trunk lid that seems to go on forever as it becomes an integrated spoiler. All in nice condition, and an available T-top setup comes with this car. Special upgraded factory WS6 wheels are seen on all 4s. Interior Ebony leather covers the two front power buckets, the rear 2+2 bench, and steering wheel, as well as gearshift. Leather is soft and supple, shows no folds or errors. Has 6-way power seats on the drivers side and 4-way on the passenger. A swooping center console is flanked by the buckets and makes its way to the dash while includes a glove box/armrest, cup holder, gearshift, climate controls, and AM/FM/Cassette player and CD changer in the hatch with equalizer. The normal cluster instruments are clean and bright. Nice matching gray carpet floods the floor. Drivetrain A 350ci LS1 V8 in found within the engine bay and is electronically fuel injected. The T56 6-speed manual transmission is bolted to the back, and these in combination make use of the 10-bolt 3.42 rear axle ratio and posi-traction and this in turn allows the tires to spin and make the black marks on the pavement! Undercarriage The undercarriage is showroom with no dirt or scratched paint. Power front and rear disc brakes are on all the corners, and this car comes equipped with electronic traction control. Drive-Ability This car started right up, and even smells new! Smooth shifting, nice power and great ride as well as interior comfort. One gets the feeling of driving a piece of sculpture with all the inlets and curved cowlings etc. Overall a great driver like new (and it almost is!) A very low mileage well cared for example of the modern style Trans Am. Aerodynamically designed and performance enhanced to be reliably driven, hassle free. Press the button, open up the top panels and make some marks on the pavement!
