We've said it before but its worth repeating: the C5 Corvette is one of the best sports car values out there. Its combination of looks, performance, economy, and reliability is hard to match in this price range. This is well demonstrated by our black/black 2000 coupe showing just 45k miles since new.

This example is a two-owner car with a clean VIN report and a nice list of options. It includes a window sticker showing an MSRP of $43,189 more than $85,000 in todays money. The black paint is in nice condition and is well accented by the shiny chrome wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport run-flat tires. An aftermarket cowl hood was installed for a little more shape than the factory piece (which is also included). Note the grill inserts as well. The factory transparent roof panel can be quickly removed and stored in back for convenient open-air motoring.

This Corvette is equipped with Chevrolets excellent 350hp LS1 engine which has an outstanding history of reliability and performance. Everything is stock except for dual aftermarket air filters and a Granatelli MAF sensor. Recent maintenance includes replacement of the serpentine belts and tensioner. The transmission is the factory 4L60E automatic overdrive while the rear end has the optional G92 performance ratio for improved acceleration. A Borla cat-back exhaust gives a little more growl too. The brakes were just serviced with all new pads and rotors along with a fluid flush.

The black leather interior is surprisingly spacious. It has the optional dual sport bucket seats that fit just right and offer six-way power adjustment. Another nice option is the dual zone electronic climate control that works as it should and has a new a/c compressor. Of course the car also has all the other standard Corvette goodies including a Delco AM/FM/CD sound system. Adding to its utility is a roomy trunk with three storage wells along with a luggage shade and cargo net. Two keyfobs are included in addition to the owners manual and leather case.

The C5 Corvette really delivers an impressive bang for the buck. Its hard to believe this price point can deliver such a combination of appearance, performance, practicality, and reliability. Whether you want to have a spirited run on the back roads or enjoy touring at almost 30 mpg, this one is ready to go.
