If you're a fan of vintage Japanese cars, be sure to check out Nissan's online heritage site. There are tons of vintage Nissan pics and specs going all the way back to the 1920s. Each featured car or truck has relevant specs and a little "detail" tab that gives some background on that specific car.
The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

· OVERALL…a pampered classic with clean undercarriage
LOCATION: Gainesville, GA (55 miles northeast of Atlanta)
BACKGROUND: The very first M5 was produced by hand in 1985 on the E28 platform with a modified version of the engine found in the famous M1. This made it the fastest production sedan in the world. This spirit continued through the E34 platform and progressed to the E39 body/chassis for 1998-2003.
Though all M5 cars have their fans, the E39 series is increasingly being recognized as the high water mark for the series. Well known automotive journalist and BMW enthusiast Doug DeMuro proclaimed the E39 as his favorite and #1 among all M5 series produced. Nice examples such as this are becoming very scarce and prices are continually rising.
RECENT MAINTENANCE INVESTMENT: You will see a receipt from Buckhead Motor Works for $2579.13 on 3-28-19. It details brake, suspension, and A/C belt and pulley replacement. The car was also aligned, valve stems were replaced and a second key was initialized.
COMPLETE CARFAX …is shown in images. You will note a very clean record since new, with damage reported on 12-7-18. Minor frontal damage had caused the hood to be unlatched though it appeared to be completely closed. At about 40 miles per hour, the un-latched hood raised and was bent back. The repair/replacement work was very well done.
LOTS OF IMAGES…We have aimed the camera everywhere that a discerning buyer would look…so you can fully appreciate how fine this M5 really is. The first set of images are intended to give a quick overall presentation of the car from a variety of vantage points. Then, there are specific sets of images (for serious buyers) that show greater detail of all areas of the car – even the undercarriage.
NOTE: It is obvious from looking at only a few images that this M5 is in unusually fine condition for a vehicle that will soon be 20 years old. Many 5-year old cars don’t look this good. However, NO car is truly perfect, so please expect some cosmetic flaws – all of which we feel are very minor – such as those shown in the final images.
INVESTMENT POTENTIAL…as cars advance in technology, the improvements are wonderful to behold, but sometimes – looking back to previous models – there can be a feeling that though gains were made in some areas, something significant was also lost. And so it is with the E39 M5. The understated styling, solid handling, traditional 6-speed stick shifter, and the naturally aspirated 400HP V8 all combine for an experience that many feel peaks for the M5 with the 1998-2003 examples. Therefore, as an acknowledged automotive icon, the future potential to hold – and perhaps increase – in value is excellent.
In fact, a 2002 E39 M5 in the same silver/black color scheme as this car recently sold for $176,000 at a Pebble Beach auction. Of course, it only had only 437 miles, but for $146,000 LESS, you can likely have a lot more enjoyment with the car in our listing…which is meant for driving!
PAYMENT DETAILS: Bank to Bank wire transfer ONLY.
