2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante

Heres a rare bird!   Most DB7s had the 6-cylinder engine, automatic transmission and were coupes.  The Vantage has Astons own Cosworth- designed 6 liter, 4-cam, 48-valve, all-alloy V12 and not many of those had the 6-speed manual transmission.  What did Top Gear think of it when new?

Think about this: over a thousand more similar-year 12-cylinder 3-pedal Ferraris were built (all coupes), but they sell for four times the price!!

This car was sold new at Miller Motorcars and visited a few other states before coming to Colorado fifteen years ago.  It has an accident-free Carfax report that tracks the mileage to todays 68K.  It was finished in popular Regent Gray with Saddle leather on the power seats and was fitted with the 9-spoke 19 wheels on 2022-dated tires.   

It has recently had a major servicing with fluids, plugs, injector seals, all emission hoses, serpentine belt, power steering flush, rear axle bearings and it just passed Colorado emission testing.  The A/C is cold, the power top works fine and its a blast to enjoy that manual-shifted V12!  Paint, leather, top & glass are all nice and the spare, tools & manual are in the trunk along with a car cover and battery maintainer.

Over all, this is a very nice car, but its not perfect.  A few scrapes on the wheels, some splits on the wood veneers, the boot cover is missing and its had some minor paintwork over the years.  At the moment, the left seat belt retractor is faulty, but a new one has been ordered.  

Driving season has just begun and heres a 6-speed V12 convertible!  Bang for the buck?!  Originally $150K, now its half the price of a same-age Ferrari 360!
