This is Porsches first use of water-cooling and four-valve technology on a six-cylinder engine. The engine produces 201 horsepower and 181 foot-pounds of torque, which is plenty of grunt for an open-air roadster. The rear engine / rear wheel drive combination is Porsches claim to fame and provides a driving experience unlike any other sports car and our Porsche remains a purpose-built sports car thats designed to go fast and provide optimum feedback while demanding the drivers undivided attention. Interior The Black/Grey Boxster Leather seats are firm and supportive, and substantial bolstering holds occupants in place on tight turns. The Boxsters cabin is good-looking, the gauge cluster is well laid out, and it is in great shape and loaded with options. The Boxster offers more cargo area than any of its competitors due to the inclusion of front and rear trunks. This front/rear trunk design produces an impressive amount of cargo space and is made possible by the mid-engine design. Second, the Boxsters livable cockpit has a good deal of space for two occupants and features wonderful, cradling seats. For safety, side airbags are standard and roll bars are built in behind the seats. Finally, the Boxster has the fastest closing automatic top in the business, going from completely open to completely closed in a scant twelve seconds , perfect for those unexpected rain showers. Exterior The great white paint on this Porsche fits the lines very well and looks very menacing too. It is a deep shiny paint job with great body lines and fitment. The convertible top is black cloth and nice as well. It rides on factory aluminum alloy wheels are wrapped in high performance black sidewall radial tires for a great look that is matched by their performance. It was tested in a magazine and the performance was from 0 to 60 mph: 6.2 seconds, with the 1/4-mile at 13.8 and a top speed between 150-162 mph.
