Pontiac was the excitement division for GM and the Trans Am added even more of such to the Firebird. The Trans Am was a specialty package for the Firebird typically upgrading handling, suspension, and horsepower as well as appearance modifications such as hoods, spoilers, fog lights, and wheels. Trans Am is a trademark so GM actually paid $5 a car to the SCCA. These muscle cars spanned generations, but always kept up the thrill of driving.
