1999 Ferrar! 355 Spyder body kit on a 1986 Fiero Chassis with 1998 Cadillac drivetrain. 4.6L Northstar 325 HP 4TL80E transmission. Bought the whole Cadillac from an AAMCO Transmission shop who had just rebuilt the transmission. I kept the drivetrain stock for reliability. I've put less than 500 miles on it. Chassis was totally rebuilt from behind seats to create engine cradle, suspension mounts, body mounts and rear sub-bumper. 2x4 box tube frame runs under door sills and ties into front structure also. Frame is solid, zero flex. Widebody A-arms in front by Held, rear cradle was build for wider suspension so no wheel spacers. LeBaron 11 1/4" brake upgrade. Full air ride suspension with 8 programmable settings so you can lift the car for driveways and bumps. First picture shows the car in race stance. Second picture shows the car fully lifted. Just two pushes of a button. Intellitronix digital dash. Seats are stock Fiero with Mr Mikes recover kit so they have the same shape and bolsters as the 355. Tail lights, parking lights and wheels are close enough to a 355 that even 355 owners have to look twice to tell the difference. I decided that a top would never seal and was more trouble than anything so it is strictly topless. Have the frame for a convertible top. Have all the stickers to finish out the look but I haven't put them on until the paint was perfect. It runs super fast and holds the road like glue. This is a real fun car to drive and it will live up to it's looks. Registered as a 1986 Pontiac so no pollution control needed. I was almost finished building this car and I bumped my shop wall with the front end. After 16 years of work and over $30K, I'm sick. Can't bear to get into the body work again so I'm offering it to someone who will finish it and love it the way it deserves. Delivery may be possible.
Needs; (1) front body work and another paint job. (2) interior needs shift boot, bezel around radio, mirror switch installed, door panels covered, windshield pillars covered. (3) boot around back of cockpit and over convertible top recesses. (4) My PCM programmer deleted the VSS output from the PCM. A GPS Pulse sending unit should get the speedometer working. I've been using a standalone GPS Speedometer with a heads up display but it's not great. (5) emblems installed.
