Gulf Coast Exotic Auto is pleased to offer this 1998 Panoz AIV Roadster, finished in Star Mist Black over a black interior. One of just 176 examples built for public sale during the AIV Roadsters hand-assembled production run, this lightweight American roadster combines distinctive styling with Ford V8 power and a five-speed manual transmission.

Power comes from its original 4.6-liter 32-valve DOHC V8, which has been dyno-tuned by Swanson Performance using a Diablo chip. Additional performance upgrades include a Pro-M mass air meter and BBK dual 62mm throttle body. The engine is paired with a T45 five-speed manual transmission, sending power to the rear wheels through a Ford Motorsport 8.8-inch rear differential with Traction-Lok and 3.73 gears.

A full stainless-steel exhaust system features stepped headers, 2.5-inch piping, and MagnaFlow mufflers, giving the 4.6-liter V8 an appropriately aggressive exhaust note.

Braking is handled by the Cobra Brake Package, featuring drilled and slotted rotors measuring 13 inches up front and 12 inches at the rear.

The AIV or Aluminum Intensive Vehicle was engineered around an exceptionally lightweight aluminum structure. Aerospace-grade alloy body panels were formed using super-plastic forming technology, helping create a rigid, lightweight roadster designed around a straightforward formula: low weight, V8 power, rear-wheel drive, and a manual transmission.

The Star Mist Black exterior is complemented by a black cockpit featuring carbon-fiber inserts and the lightweight, purpose-built character expected from a Panoz roadster. Additional equipment includes a 5.0 Pro Tower shifter along with an upgraded Kenwood Bluetooth stereo and speakers.

With its hand-built construction, naturally aspirated DOHC V8, five-speed manual transmission, lightweight aluminum architecture, and extremely limited production, the Panoz AIV Roadster represents a unique chapter in American performance-car history.
