1998 Mercedes-Benz SL500

West Coast Classics are proud to present a beautiful example of this 1998 Mercedes-Benz 500SL 5.0L V8 Convertible in its highly desirable and striking original factory Black color paint with a gorgeous matching Black leather trim interior, factory alloy wheels with all original owners manuals, dealer stamped maintenance booklet, dealer brochures etc since new and a history of extensive service records from Mercedes Benz of Long Beach, CA and recent full service history at the renown Malibu Motors, Mercedes Benz specialists of Santa Monica, CA. This particular example is a car which was obviously always garaged with no accidents with its original factory Black color paint and matching leather interior. The original leather dashboard and the walnut wood veneer interior are still like new (obviously always garaged from the sun and elements!) The car has a clean CARFAX report confirming its mileage and service history and was serviced at the Mercedes-Benz dealership of Long Beach, CA for routine and scheduled maintenance for many years and which we recently had fully serviced after acquiring the car at the renown local Santa Monica Mercedes-Benz independent specialists, Malibu Motors. This was the top-of-the-line R129SL Mercedes-Benz flagship car and had a suggested retail price of almost $100K in 1998, which when adjusted for inflation mounts to some $195K today. The R129 was a champion in the luxury car market and dominated worldwide sales during its production run. In 1998, R129 received the major cosmetic and technical updates with revised engines to include the V6, V8, and V12 engines from the newW220 S Class. All of those updated engines had three valves and two spark plugs per cylinder. Without a doubt, this is one of the finest classic luxury cars built by Mercedes-Benz, this is one very fine example in this most striking and desirable of color combinations available anywhere!
