Finished in Land Rover Buckingham Blue Metallic, the Beachrunner represents a ground-up rebuild executed without compromise the kind of restoration that doesn't ask where you're going, only whether you're ready to leave.
Structurally, the truck rides on a galvanized Marsland chassis mated to a new galvanized bulkhead the two components most responsible for long-term durability on any Defender. The tub has been fully rebuilt with new panels and galvanized floor supports, eliminating the hidden corrosion that plagues unrestored examples. Exterior body panels are new: bonnet, wings, and four half-doors with galvanized frames. A Series-style grille, galvanized bumpers, LED lighting, and a Surrey top by All Wheel Trim give the truck a purposeful, adventure-ready appearance. Five Wolf wheels wear BF Goodrich All-Terrain KO3s; Optimill supplies the hardware details including hinges, mirrors, fuel cap, and a rear license plate light integrating a backup camera.
The cabin was designed for comfort and usability. The full dash is a new traditional-style unit paired with an Exmoor wood-rimmed steering wheel. Seating is a coordinated Exmoor ensemble: Puma-style front buckets, high-back second-row seats, and rear bench seating on a galvanized frame with dedicated four-belt restraints. Entertainment is handled by a Sony Apple CarPlay head unit driving Focal speakers and a Kicker subwoofer.
The drivetrain is where the build earns its credibility. The 300Tdi has been fully rebuilt and upgraded with an Allisport VGTR turbo, Allisport double-core intercooler, and a new Bosch injector pump meaningful improvements that raise output and reliability over standard. An Ashcroft-converted ZF4HP22 automatic transmission makes this an accessible daily driver without sacrificing off-road character. A Tom Woods double cardan front driveshaft, Bilstein shocks on galvanized turrets, a new Adwest 4-bolt steering box, and Terra Firma's heavy-duty steering rod kit round out the chassis. Every rubber line, hose, and brake component master cylinder, calipers, rotors, and hard lines has been replaced.
