The 1998 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra represented the pinnacle of the SN95 Mustang lineup and was the final year of the hand-built 4.6L DOHC Modular V8 before the 1999 redesign. Produced by Fords Special Vehicle Team (SVT), the Cobra featured a number of high-performance enhancements over the GT, including a unique intake manifold, independent suspension tuning, and upgraded brakes. It was rated at 305 horsepower impressive numbers for its era and was paired exclusively with a manual transmission. The Cobras blend of power, balance, and refined styling made it one of the most desirable Mustangs of the late 1990s, carrying on the SVT legacy of performance and collectability.
