1997 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Z28 30th Anniversary Edition. LT1 5.7l, 300 hp, Automatic. 13,320 original miles. Clean CARFAX. VIN included in pics so you can run your own report if you wish or you can look at the one I ran when I purchased it in early 2023. The options are all listed on the window sticker also provided in the pics. This Z28 spent most of its life in controlled climate storage. I have fixed or updated the few things that were in disrepair. There are no missing parts to the car. Convertible cover pieces are intact and in excellent shape as well as the case for them. History of this car as I know it.
This Z28 was one of 40+ 1997 Z28 Convertibles that was used at Texas Motor Speedway before the Inaugural Winston Cup Series (Nascar's Premium Series name at that time) Race on April 6, 1997. They were used to introduce the drivers to the crowd. I have the documentation for this as well. The story that I got when I purchased it is this: A young man purchased the car in '97 or '98 as his High School Senior car. At some point after his senior year, he parked the car and stored it inside a climate controlled storage unit where it sat for several years. Sometime in 2020-2022, it was sold as it was from the storage unit, The owner of Rice Auto Sales in Austin, Tx purchased it and performed the few things that had to be done to make it run and be roadworthy again. Flush the fuel system including the fuel tank, a battery, tires, etc. I purchased it and over the past two years, I have had the remaining few items repaired and have receipts for what I fixed on the car. The car is virtually flawless for a vehicle of 29 years. A True Survivor!
