Classic Car Overview
Hello, I'm Bradley. Selling my 1996 Land Rover Defender 110 (Left-hand drive) that has a brand new crate LS-3 engine put in ~1000 miles ago. Below are the details...
I purchased the Defender in June 2022 with the original 300 TDI engine, from Royal Defender Imports, who purchased the vehicle in June 2021 and had it imported to Texas in Mar 2022. After buying the Defender, I registered it in Colorado and during ownership have put ~9000 miles on it. Loved the Defender, however, with the 300TDI engine I got tired of being in the slow lane, so in 2024 I had Nitro Automotive replace the engine with a new 6.2L V8 LS-3. Below is a summary of the main work...
- Body repainted Oslo blue (2022) and protective coating put on the frame
- GTechNiq Crystal Serum Ultra (9-year) ceramic coating applied 2022
- GM-sourced LS3 6.2-liter V8 engine swap 2024
- Aisin AX15 5-speed manual transmission swap
- Turn-Key AX15 retrofit kit for LS engine and factory transfer case
- Snorkel air intake (disconnected after LS-3 swap)
- Diamond-plate trim on front fenders
- Aftermarket bumpers
- LED headlights and taillights
- 18-inch aftermarket wheels
- 2024 BF Goodrich All Terrain
- 30mm wheel spacers
- Tinted windows
- Tan vinyl upholstery on seats, door cards, dash, headliner, center consoles
- Heated front and second-row seats
- Center dash section from a later Defender
- Aftermarket center consoles front and rear
- Aftermarket steering wheel
- Aftermarket tachometer (need to work with the new engine)
- Retrofitted aftermarket air conditioning
- FOR-X head unit
- JBL BassPro Go portable subwoofer
- Power front windows
- Remote central locking
Known Flaws
- Some chips and scratches around the exterior
- Loose upholstery on the instrument cluster
Selling as I have relocated back to the UK, and importing it here doesn't make sense due to the roads being RHD. Defender is with a friend in Billings Montanta being lightly driven.
