The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.
Classic Car Overview
Previous owner performed an off-the-frame restoration for a near perfect body and interior.
It was acquired by the seller in October 2021 in England and subsequently imported into the US in July 2022. It was registered in New York and then shipped to Irvine, California in February 2023.
The truck body is finished white over green. The interior is upholstered with gray cloth and has new carpet, rubber flooring and headliner. It is powered by a stock 2.5-liter turbo-diesel inline-four mated to a five-speed R380 manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. Currently gets 20 MPG city and highway.
Equipment includes 16" alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a Super Gaz suspension kit, body-color wheel arch flares, folding rear step, and seats 9 with the rear troop-style bench seats.
Currently registered in New York with additional emission work by G and K Auto needed to be registered in California.

-New Clutch system: re-surfaced flywheel, new plate, new master and slave cylinders
-New Fuel System: Tank, fuel pump, fuel neck hose, sender
-New Alternator, Battery & Glow Plug timer.

-Flush cooling system
