Chevrolet used it to showcase all the reasons why we love the Corvette - power poise and true distinction. Combining Admiral Blue with Arctic White stripes and those bright red hash marks on the fenders was a stroke of genius. Not only did the appearance made these instant classics but also the rarity. Only 1000 coupes and convertibles were produced in total and when you look at suspension and interior option packages this is one of only 217. Chevy chose these Grand Sports to introduce the LT4 fuel-injected V8. The 330 hp engine boasted a number of improvements including high-flow fuel injectors higher compression and a completely revived valvetrain including a performance cam.
