Classic Car Overview
For consignment, a beautifully preserved Pontiac Trans AM from 1995. Its Teal Blue Metallic has snappy chromed wheels, a 5.7 liter mill, a light beige leather interior, (1 of 1242 made in this color), and all is working swimmingly. Exterior Not like the days of yore with the screaming chickens, muscle engines, and 1980s lumbering styling. NOPE! This takes in a European aero look with hidden headlights, a rounded front with body matching neoprene bumper that slices through the air with MPG efficiency. Trimmings are also body matching including a belt line bump out, and a rear spoiler that wraps around the rear greenhouse glass. Rounded inset tail lights are below the spoiler, and another neoprene body matching in Teal Blue Metallic has cut outs on the bottom to highlight the dual dual exhaust pipes peeking out from underneath. Tinted glass with black trimmings surrounds the passenger compartment giving plenty of viewing space from the raked back windshield and expansive rear glass. 16 inch chrome 5 spoke wheels are highlighting the corners and are wrapped in 33rd week of 2008 production rubber. Interior The styling euro design continues with the door panels which use molded black plastic for the door pulls and armrests as well as the door actuator, storage tray on the bottom and a small but mighty tweeter surround. This black is broken up by beige vinyl all nicely molded in and very clean. Stepping across the thresh-hold we see some sexy high back buckets that have uber curvaceous designs with tuck and roll inserts and some more tuck and roll on the side bolsters, and a sleek headrest on top. In back the hump breaks up the 2+2 seats in the same style as the front buckets and pristine beige leather. A black undulating center console is between the buckets and houses a glovebox and shifter. As this rises to the center dash we see more black panels with climate knobs and a killer AM/FM/CD with EQ stereo system. A trio of round vents is on the padded dash top. In front of the driver is a semi circular dash with semicircular blackface gauges and orange pointers. Beige carpeting floods the floors and above a fuzzy tight new molded headliner floats above all the chairs and curves of the interior. Drivetrain Under the hood is a 5.7L LT-1 V8 which puts out 275hp. It can leave the earlier versions of this car in the dust to say the least. It is fed by EFI, and has a 4L60E 4-speed automatic tranny on back. The rear axle is a 10 bolt, 3.23 posi version and it makes the rear tires smoke. Undercarriage Looking very factory, very clean, and very rust free with total structural unibody soundness. Independent coil springs in front and a torque arm with coil springs works the ride for the back. Power disc braking is on all 4 corners and a single exhaust with a dual outlet is seen in good condition. Drive-Ability A quick starter and effortless driver with some extra power which was unexpected. It handles like its on rails and it runs and stops great. All functions were working fine. The Trans Am takes on the Euro look, still with plenty of power and this example is well kept and maintained with records. A new fuel pump, new headliner and interior wrapped in space age looking leather buckets and 2+2 back seat. Lets go carve some curves. 2G2FV22P3S2204928 2-Canada G-General Motors 2-Pontiac F-Firebird V-Formula/Trans Am 2-2 Door Hatchback 2-Manual Belts, Front Airbags P-350ci V8 LT1 3-Check Digit S-1995 2-St Therese Assy Plant 204928-Sequential Unit Number
