VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Classic Car Overview

I want to sell one of my two 1995 MGFs as I need the garage space! This is a mid-engine sports car that was imported from Great Britain into Canada in 2010 and then to the USA in 2021. Naturally it has a clear Michigan title in my name. Currently there are about a hundred of these cars in the United States so if you yearn for something different this rising classic is a great deal.
Overall the car is in great condition considering it is approaching thirty years in age. As can be seen in the photos there are a couple of rust holes in the sills (rockers) and signs of previous repairs are evident. Otherwise the body is very solid. MGFs only seem to suffer from rust in the sills unlike earlier models. Replacement panels are available. Quick back story: the bodies were produced by a third part firm to Rover and thus to a higher standard of corrosion protection. Furthermore, it was the limited capacity of that small company that precluded selling the car in the USA they simply couldnt have made enough!
The car has now been fitted with a set of recharged Hydragas spheres, i.e. properly re-charged with nitrogen, not just pumped full of more fluid. The Hydragas received rave reviews from auto journalists when the car debuted as it provided sports car handling with the ride of a larger car.
Other minor items needing attention are: right side outer door handle I have a new one which I will get painted and fitted prior to delivery. The timing belt could use replacing because of time rather than mileage.
Some improvements that have already been made (since some of the photos) include: removal of the shift lock device & replacement of the hacked up surround along with nicer shift & handbrake gauntlets. Repair of a stripped rear lower control bolt in the left front.
Any other questions please ask! Text message is preferred, especially during the business day.

There's a lot of scammers out there. No, I will not pay the shipper on your behalf. No, I will not accept anything other than a certified cheque/draft. Really it needs to be cash in person unless there are extenuating circumstances. As for texting, that's fine for quick questions but if you're serious & legitimate you'll dial the telephone sooner rather than later. I reserve the right to insist that we first meet in a public place if I have any doubts about you. Finally, don't ask me to run VIN checks through bogus sites that no one has ever heard of. The legit ones such as Carfax are unable to decipher the Euro VIN and frankly, if quirks like that are a problem then this niche car might not be the best choice for you.
