1995 Land Rover Defender 90

This is a phenomenal example of a North American Spec (NAS) Land Rover Defender 90, brought to you by Defender Imports in Colorado Springs. Less than 7,000 NAS Defenders were legally imported into the US by Land Rover from 1994-1997, making this unique (And 50-state legal) Defender highly sought after. With only three owners, the truck was first purchased at the Land Rover dealership in Flagstaff, AZ in 1996. It was then sold to a military service member who kept the truck mostly in FL until 2011 when it was sold to another military service member (And its current owner). Aside from a brief stint in NC, the truck has spent most of its time in CO since 2011. The truck has been mostly garage-kept or stored in climate-controlled vehicle storage facilities its entire life, meaning this truck has been well taken care of and is in excellent condition with practically no rust!

To preserve the condition of this amazing truck, we performed a significant restoration job in 2021, which included new Portofino Red paint, a complete engine rebuild (Original 3.9L Rover V8), interior upgrades, electrical work and full mechanical services according to the original Land Rover service manual. This truck has been featured on the cover of Rovers Magazine and has been showcased at Land Rover rallies and overland expos around the US. This is a numbers-matching truck, with the original engine, chassis and body. Exterior upgrades and accessories include: new paint, removable five-piece fiberglass hard top, Bestop original fastback bikini top, Surry full-length soft top, original Safety Devices full roll cage, NAS original brush guard (Not mounted, but included with the truck), removable door tops were rebuilt with new felt window tracks, anti-rattle kits and speed nuts for quick removal, checker plate throughout, new front bumper, LED lighting, SafariGard rock sliders, SafariGard swing-away spare tire carrier, heated windshield and an Optimil high-flow windshield washer kit. The fender flares, rock sliders and fiberglass top have been shot with bed liner for a clean and rugged look that contrasts very well with the red and black exterior. All exterior hardware and metal was removed, sand blasted and re-painted with a single-stage Hot Rod Black paint.

Interior upgrades include: Dynamat sound deadening and Dynapad sound proofing material throughout the foot wells, seat box, rear tub, doors and fiberglass roof. New and custom rubber matting throughout, new door cards, window tint, Tuffy locking center console, Tuffy locking rear storage, Tuffy 6x9 speaker boxes with locking storage, Alpine MP3 stereo with Bluetooth and hands-free calling, Alpine four-channel amp, JBL 5 two-way speakers in the doors, JBL 6x9 three-way speakers in the rear, MudUK switch panel in the lower dash with Carling switches, 12V charging port and dual USB charging port from Blue Sea Systems; Mud UK red/white LED dome light, Optima red top battery with kill switch, and custom upholstered all-weather seats.

Suspension and driveline upgrades include: TerraFirma 2 shocks and springs, Bilstein steering damper, new bushings, new front shock towers, new drag link, new track rod, new steering box and power steering pump, Tom Woods double cardan drive shafts (Front and rear), New rear differential from Great Basin Rovers, Original LR freestyle wheels, BFGoodrich A/T KO2 tires (285/75R16), Mantec 30mm wheel spacer, EBC vented front brake rotors with larger calipers, EBC slotted rear brake rotors, EBC green stuff brake pads (Front and rear), steel braided brake lines, new brake servo and master cylinder, new clutch master cylinder, new clutch, rebuilt LT230 t-case with locking center differential, new Ashcroft R380 five-speed transmission, new swivel balls and rebuilt wheel hubs.

Mechanical upgrades include: Complete engine rebuild. Engine was rebuilt with 123K miles on the truck. Engine was torn down to the block, steam cleaned and re-honed. Engine has all new pistons and rings, new gaskets and seals, Cloyes double-roller timing chain, Crower cam, ARP head bolts, new water pump, new starter, new belts, new distributor, new spark plugs and wires, new stepper motor and new throttle position sensor. With only 12K miles on the engine, its practically new! Additional upgrades include: cerakoted Borla exhaust and NRP performance Y-pipe, Champion high-flow aluminum radiator with dual SPAL electric fans (Over 900 CFM each, this truck will not overheat!), heater box was resealed and overhauled with an AlliSport uprated aluminum heater core (Blows hot in the winter!), K&N air filter, all new coolant hoses and steel braided oil cooler lines from Trailhead 4x4.

The truck has a clean Colorado title, comes with the original owners manual, Land Rover service manual, restoration build sheet, a custom jerry can bar that can be mounted to the spare tire carrier and some Defender Imports swag.
