This 1995 Ford F-150 Lightning Clone takes one of the most iconic configurations from Fords OBS era and transforms it into a considerably more engaging performance pickup. Built around the desirable regular-cab, short-bed F-150 platform, this truck combines the restrained appearance of Fords original first-generation Lightning with a modernized drivetrain, manual transmission, upgraded braking, contemporary instrumentation, and several thoughtful usability improvements.

Finished in a crisp white monochromatic exterior, the truck immediately captures the early Lightning aesthetic. The color-matched grille, front bumper treatment, sport lower valance, Lightning-style bedside graphics, and lowered performance stance give it exactly the right period-inspired appearance without becoming overdone. Chrome 17-inch performance wheels provide a polished contrast and are wrapped in substantial 275/60R17 tires, giving the truck a muscular footprint that fits the build exceptionally well.

Performance
Under the hood is the centerpiece of the truck: a Ford 351 Windsor crate V8. Rather than relying on traditional carburetion, the Windsor has been upgraded with an Edelbrock Pro-Flo electronic fuel-injection system, combining classic small-block Ford character with the starting, throttle response, fuel control, and drivability benefits of modern EFI.

The engine bay presents cleanly, with Ford-blue valve covers, a polished intake tract, performance air intake, and an organized installation that maintains the vintage Ford identity while clearly signaling that this is far more than a stock OBS F-150.

Backing the 351W is one of the most desirable upgrades possible for a driver-focused build: a Tremec TKX 5-speed manual transmission. The floor-mounted manual shifter completely changes the personality of the truck, giving the driver direct involvement that was never available in a factory first-generation Lightning. A Dakota Digital instrument cluster replaces the conventional gauges with a modern analog-style display incorporating digital information readouts. It provides improved monitoring of engine speed, vehicle speed, fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature while fitting cleanly within the original instrument location.

The centerpiece of the audio system is an Alpine touchscreen multimedia head unit, integrated neatly into the factory dashboard. The truck also retains air conditioning, making it significantly more comfortable for regular street use.
