The Dodge Li'l Red Express set a standard on how to make a great performance truck. All Dodge Li'l Red Express trucks came from the factory painted in Bright Canyon Red in 1978 and Medium Canyon Red in 1979. Every Li'l Red Express was a regular cab Adventurer with a stepside bed.

Classic Car Overview

For consignment, this very clean 1995 version of the Chevrolet in 1500 trim with tons of new parts and some included extras. Not only is this truck capable of hauling loads, but its also capable of hauling ass with the modified V6 that sounds much like its V8 big brother, some Mark Dougan pinstriping and a killer stereo system. Get your motor run-in, lookin for adventure in whatever comes your way...born to be wild! Exterior This full size model of 1995 is bathed in dark blue metallic, has excellent straight galvanized steel panels, consistent gaps, and a miles deep finish. All chrome has been blacked out, shaved off or changed to body color including the dark blue trimmed blacked out eggcrate grille with its shiny central bowtie and quad halogen headlights on its flanks, along with a body matching steel bumper below which is highlighted by a black plastic lower air dam. A tinted bug shield is mounted at the front of the long steel hood which is attached between the fenders and gives a rather aerodynamic look to this hauler. Blacked out trim surrounds the windows, which have new front and rear glass with the sides and rear glass tinted. Bringing up the tail end we see a black vinyl bed cover, which when rolled up gives access to the gray felt lined bed. A pinstriped tailgate rests between the cathedral style tail lights and just below is another body matching steel bumper. Peeking out from under the lower rear bed sides are a pair of chrome exhaust tips giving the rear end a bit more flair. 17 highly polished American Racing Torque Thrust wheels wrapped in like new Cooper 225/65R17 blackwall rubber adorn the 4 corners and add to the muscle look of this truck. Interior A swing of the doors reveals an intricate use of gray molded vinyl with some added speakers within a matching gray box area on the bottoms, and many differing panels to make up just the doors. We note the passengers side panel has been removed but a pair of good used panels are included with the truck. Inside is a newly upholstered bench seat stretching from door to door and this has an interplay of tuck and roll inserts and smooth outer bolsters along with gray piping to cover the seat which is in excellent condition showing little wear. In front is the original factory configured gray molded vinyl dash with a charcoal instrument cluster using the square and rectangle design of the mid 1980s. A tachometer and oil pressure gauge occupy the factory cluster and added above the heater controls and in the center of the dash we see a touch screen AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo. Slightly faded black carpet is on the floors and above is a charcoal black felted headliner. Drivetrain Under the hood in the well sorted engine bay we see the original 4.3 Liter V6. This mill is fed by EFI, has a ribbed Edelbrock high flow air cleaner assembly and the fires from within are lit by MSD ignition. Bolted to the back is a 700R4 4-speed automatic with a 10-bolt axle conventional rear axle putting the power to the pavement. Undercarriage Very clean and surface rust on some usual suspects, however very structurally sound. Headers feed down to a new exhaust system with a Flowmaster muffler and dual tail pipes. and providing the ride is an independent coil spring front suspension and rear leaf springs. Power disc brakes are up front and power drums are in the rear, all buttoned up and ready to haul. Drive-Ability She fired right up and was ready for a few ticks around the track and she was proven to work well. More than adequate acceleration and shifting, bias free panic stopping, and easy drive-ability. I did notice the A/C blew cool but not cold and that the heater blend door had a tendency to stick in different output positions. Otherwise a very reliable and surprisingly peppy runner. Whether it be your main mode of transportation, or a second truck to show and go with, you are sure to have years of reliable service left in this truck. No rust, good paint, and some muscle truck styling cues certainly make this a nice well thought out package. Go on, get to hauling.....ass! 1GCEC14ZXSZ186687 1-USA G-General Motors C-Chevrolet Truck E-6001 Thru 7000 GVWR C-Conventional Cab 4x2 1-1/2 Ton 4-2 Door Cab Z-4.3 Liter V6 EFI X-Check Digit S-1995 Z-Fremont, CA Assy Plant 186687-Sequential Unit Number
