The truck has been customized from stem to stern, and this is not an uncommon platform for customization and serves as the canvas for cosmetic treatments, race ready versions, lowriders, and a myriad of other styles that the S10 lends itself to. This is just one mans interpretation and we like what we see! Exterior Painted in Blue, the custom touches begin in the front where a billet style grille fills the gaps of the body colored surround and an SS style hood scoop with stamped inlet holes behind some elaborate pinstripe dcor, all above a custom chrome front bumper. From the side, we note shaved door handles and 20-inch Vision Legend wheels with staggered sized 35 series tires, all riding on an air ride system but sitting low in the parked position. The rear is a real show, beginning with a roll pan in place of a bumper, Altezza style tail lights, and a wild laughing, flaming skull airbrushed graphic on the tailgate which has been customized to receive a license plate canted and to the left of center. A birds eye view reveals a custom sliding sunroof with an old school vinyl cover and a glossy body keyed tonneau cover looking very much like blue ice, under which is the air ride pump and tank and a cutout in the bed to allow for the lifting hardware. Imperfections include some paint chips. Interior The custom interior begins with a gray tweed door panel accompanied by a black vinyl mid panels with billet style window crank, and a speaker in the corner along with some lower storage. Saddle leather low back bucket seats offer a soft perch and are in decent shape with some slight marking on the ingress point for the driver. A Colorado Custom steering wheel makes a dramatic appearance as a polished metal piece on a saddle colored column that leads to the blue framed dash with a white faced gauge panel instrumental and a series of toggle switches to the left. Over on the right, a touchscreen system with AM/FM/CD and a basic A/C control panel, while a second screen is found in front of the passenger, above the glovebox, surrounded by the camel plastic dash. The center hump wears a billet shifter with camel leather boot just in front of the control module for the air ride system. Plush tan carpet covers the floor and tan velour covers the headliner and surrounds the sunroof. Drivetrain Under the hood, an Als Toybox 355ci crate V8, fueled by a 4-barrel carburetor and backed by an NV5000 5-speed manual transmission is sending power to the 10 bolt rear. Slowing and stopping is accomplished via power brakes with front disc and rear drum. Undercarriage Generally driver quality underneath with plenty of surface rust on the frame and other components, and a bit of residual oil on the pans, but otherwise clean. The airbags and accompanying hardware and tubing are visible underneath along with the suspension that consists of single leaf springs with airbags in back and airbags in front on the independent suspension. A single exhaust flows through a Turbo muffler before dumping under the truck. Drive-Ability Its not often we step down into a truck, but this one is low and the wide seats provide a comfortable throne and the 355 starts up. Pressure immediately builds in the tank, but well roll low onto the test loop where the truck handles well and has decent acceleration. Our consignor notes the front air bags leak, and a few other things make our checklist as non functioning. That includes the brake lights and reverse lights. Attention will also need to be directed to the hood that doesnt open, a noisy transmission, and the previously mentioned airbags which we found leak down quickly. Beyond that, all other functions operate as they should.
