The Most Desirable Corvette Ever?

The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!

Classic Car Overview

For consignment and your viewing pleasure, one of the 41 Arctic White ZR1s built according to the ZR1.net registry and as per our consignor this car is believed to be the final white car built. A NCRS Top Flight Award winner, a Bloomington Gold Gold Certified, Bloomington Gold Survivor Gold winner, and a Bloomington Gold Benchmark Award winner along with sporting a mere 5,978 actual title verified miles, were in serious Corvette collector territory. Allow me to get my fork, knife and napkin so I can eat this dream up. Exterior All clean, sparkling and ready to celebrate, Arctic White drapes this second to last year Gen 4 model and final year ZR1. The paint is the factory application and is in very good condition, and badging shows correctly. With its rubberized body matching crash bumpers, this car is virtually devoid of any chrome, and just badging shines brightly against the white. A slight flashback to the roots of the early 50s with the front quarter intake venting just behind the front wheel well. Despite using specific components like reprofiled doors, widened rear quarter panels, and a convex tail panel, replacement fiberglass panels can be sourced with relative ease, as can glass, save for the ZR1-specific windshield although the regular production C4 glass fits, so if in the future a mishap should occur all hope is not lost. A body colored removable roof is on, and in the hatch area we note a spare transparent roof section that has never been out of the original wrapper. A touch or retro finds itself on the rear panel with a pair of dual tail lights on either side of the central CORVETTE emblem and dual exhaust cutouts are below. 17 ZR1 wheels adorn the 4 corners and are wrapped in staggered width high performance rubber from 2019. For the show field, our consignor is including the original tires that only have seen 3,200 miles...Im feel a rumbling in my tummy! Interior The ZR1s interior left the factory one way and one way only...fully loaded with every luxury item on the base Corvette option list. Amazing black leather dominates the snazzy interior that features a semicircular instrument panel that is a digital/analog combination and shows in an orange background with black LCD digits and lines. This all floats in a field of jet black carpeting. Noted is the actual mileage of 5,978 miles. Controls for power seat adjustments, a large glovebox, selective ride control knob, and the shift lever are within the console. It rises to the dash and houses a key switch labeled normal and full power, (more on that later), the digital AM/FM/CD & Cassette radio, digital readout temp controls a large center screen digital display which is essentially a cluster of warning (idiot) lights. Black on black makes up the matching door panels, and within the armrest are power windows, and power locks. A black carpeted extra storage area is noted behind the supple buckets and under the large greenhouse rear glass. Black carpeting for the floors, and a black headliner is on top above the passengers. All factory fresh and still retaining that new car smell. Drivetrain Under the clamshell style hood lies the artful and massive aluminum DOHC 350ci LT-5 V8 which is electronically fuel injected by 16 fuel injectors. This mill sports ported and polished heads from the factory, a 4 bolt main bottom end and the ignition is handled by a 4-coil direct fire system. All of this works together to make an impressive for the day 405hp at 5,800rpm. Bolted to the back of this technological wonder is a ZF 6-speed manual transmission and a 3.33 limited slip rear axle puts the power to the ground. Undercarriage No rust, nice components, solid fiberglass tubs, and all looking good underneath as to structure. Independent SLA forged-aluminum upper and lower control arms and steering knuckle, transverse monoleaf springs, steel stabilizer bar, and spindle offset for the front suspension and for the rear, an independent five-link design with tow and camber adjustment, forged-aluminum control links and steering knuckle, transverse monoleaf springs, steel tie rods, stabilizer bar, and tubular U-joint aluminum driveshaft. 4-wheel power disc brakes bring all that power to a halt effectively and the factory original exhaust is still in place. WOW! Drive-Ability A quick starter, and solid runner with rail-like handling, neck snapping acceleration, and beautiful shifting from the 6-speed manual transmission, and this was in normal mode. With a flick of the key on the dash I took a second lap around the track in full power mode and boy oh boy the 405 ponies were alive and kicking. A brief note on how the key switch mode controller works, in normal mode the engine uses only 8 of the 16 fuel injectors and with a flick of the key to full power all 16 injectors come to life providing you with all the horses. All functions are looking fine as is also the interior is very clean, and well detailed. This car will come with the original window sticker as well as all of its Bloomington Gold and NCRS documentation. Low miles, low production, full documentation along with NCRS and Bloomington Gold certifications... and you can get it with uber snappy handling suspension, and the LT-5 V8 EFI, and you will think you died and went to heaven right here in our Hallowed Halls of Classic Auto Mall.
