1994 Ruf BTR

The BTR 3.8 model, based on the 964 generation, was Ruf Automobiles top of the line model in 1993-1994. This is a rare and unique high-performance vehicle hand built by the German manufacturer and carries a Ruf VIN #. With only 13 examples manufactured, the 3.8 is one of the rarest RUF cars produced. The BTR is powered by a 3.8L twin single turbo flat six that is derived from the M64/50 Turbo engine. This incredible motor produces 415 hp and 406 ft lbs of torque. In addition to the engine design, RUF fits the BTR with their bespoke Bilstein suspension, a Ruf 6-speed transmission, 18 Ruf Speedline wheels, and custom interior. All of this combines together and creates an experience in a car that was way ahead of its time. It was one of the fastest cars in production in the period and Road & Track tested one at a 211 mph top speed and an 11.9 second quarter mile in 1995. Despite the astounding performance, the car provides for a very comfortable and reliable driving experience. This specific example was built by Ruf Automobile GmbH in Pfaffenhausen Germany from Sept-Dec 1993, and delivered to its first owner owner through Ishida Engineering (now RTC) in Kyoto, Japan. The car was imported to the United States by the current owner in 2019, reflects 32,000 miles, remains in excellent condition and was authenticated by Ruf the same year. Before coming to us for sale the car received a full engine out service as well as an upgraded interior by Rstrada in California. All receipts are available.
