The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. This 1994 Mazda RX-7 is one of 156 R2 models finished in Brilliant Black produced for the US market for the model year. It was acquired in 1996 by the seller. The R2 package added twin engine oil coolers, front brake cooling ducts, a tuned suspension with Bilstein shocks, a shock tower brace, and front and rear spoilers. Additional equipment includes air conditioning, rear storage bins, and a new aftermarket stereo with a CD player, and new speakers. Note that no dash cutting was allowed for the stereo installation. The car features pop-up headlights, and smoked taillight lenses. Exterior blemishes are extremely small and minor. This car has been pampered in every way, spending most of its time in a garage over the last 26 years the seller has been in possession. The interior features bolstered black leather seats, matching black plastics and RX-7 branded floor mats. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central 9k-rpm tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer shows just 51041 miles.,This FD RX-7 R2 is offered with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, a clean Carfax report, original window sticker, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name. With the exception of the stereo, shift knob, and leather seats the vehicle is 100% original with no mechanical modifications or damage repair.
