HISTORY: The beginnings of the NSX can be traced to 1984 and the HP-X, which was a joint Honda project with Pininfarina. It was a mid-engine 3.0L rear wheel drive sports car concept. As the exercise evolved, the name changed to NSX which stood for New Sports car eXperimental. The final production product was inspired by the F-16 fighter jet. 1994 was the first year for the SportShift 4-speed automatic. Also known as F-Matic, it could also be shifted manually.

ORAL HISTORY ON THIS CAR: This cars ownership has been in one family for 22 years. When purchased, it was explained that the car had been owned (or assigned) to an important Honda executive.

According to internet sources, the VIN serial range for North American NSXs ranges from RT000001 to approximately RT000650. This would indicate that this example (RT000003) is the 3rd Acura NSX example produced for North America at the Tochigi, Japan factory.making this a rare and highly desirable/collectible example.

LOCATION: Senoia, GA...which is approx. 35 miles south of Atlanta.

EXCELLENT INVESTMENT Nice original NSXs rarely come to market. The oral history and very early 1994 production sequence only add to this cars desirability and likelihood for future value appreciation.

OPERATIONAL REPORT: The car performed beautifully with nice cold air-conditioning throughout the photo-shoot and during test driving. The radio was not operational. The spare is designed to be stowed in the front trunk, but since we lack the hold down hardware, it is simply kept in the conventional rear trunk. We did not note any other non-functioning items, but encourage potential buyers to make their own evaluations as oversights are always possible and because cars of this vintage can surprise. Quite frankly to keep this NSX as nice as it is - a mindset willing to undertake continual maintenance and as-needed repairs is just part of the collector car hobby.

Anything can happen at anytime on a used car - especially those that are entering their 4th decade so the car is sold strictly as is with no warranties expressed or implied.

PAYMENT TERMS: A $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal or Zelle is required to hold the car for 3 business days, during which time the balance must be paid in full via bank to bank wire transfer - absolutely NO CHECKS! You are welcome to examine the car personally by appointment, but we are limiting appointments to those who intend to buy the car, and are coming only to confirm what we are showing in the images and videos.
