The 70 series Toyota Land Cruiser Prado was never offered domestically in North America and what a shame that is as we have been missing out on arguably the most rugged, durable and low maintenance Land Cruisers ever built. The iconic boxy styling resembles the FJ40 but the interior is nowhere near as spartan. The driver benefits from a slate of power accessories including power windows, locks, and mirrors and sunroof. The OEM rainguards and running boards on LJ78 are in great condition and add another stylish feature to this rugged SUV. Another unique feature is the front grille and head lamps. The interior is spacious and comfortable, from a performance standpoint this Prado can perform even in the roughest of terrain. In addition this Prado is synonymous with reliability and has fantastic fuel economy. Located on the dash is an electronic Hub-Lock switch which ensures maximum traction in less than ideal conditions. The selective 4WD system does have a low gear as well, but as Land Cruiser enthusiasts worldwide already know it’s awfully tough to get this thing stuck. The TEMS adjustable suspension handles large and small bumps handily and has ample ground clearance.
Finished in an extremely aesthetically pleasing Black and Silver two tone paint this LJ78 Prado has the iconic looks and performance to warrant such a strong reputation.
