If you're a fan of vintage Japanese cars, be sure to check out Nissan's online heritage site. There are tons of vintage Nissan pics and specs going all the way back to the 1920s. Each featured car or truck has relevant specs and a little "detail" tab that gives some background on that specific car.
The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Note from seller:
Now HERE is a great opportunity to own a very clean example of the legendary
Toyota Hilux from Toyota's golden years. This diesel engine, to put it simply,
is near-impossible to kill. Lacking the technological complexity or stifling
emissions equipment, this simple diesel Hilux is ready to take you anywhere you
want to go for the next 500,000+ miles, just not very quickly. I've been to
about a half dozen shows with this truck, and it always gets a lot of attention.
You will be hard pressed to find a cleaner example, even overseas, as these
trucks are worked to the bone, and for good reason; they're just so damn reliable.
I hate to see such a nice truck get sold off, but I have another Hilux Surf on
the way, and I have to make room for it. I chose to sell this truck because
it has slightly better documentation and the unique xtra cab pickup bodystyle.

How did you get the truck over here?
I bought the truck from a Japanese vehicle exporter that then sent the
vehicle over on a cargo ship that landed in Galveston, TX. I cleared the
vehicle with Customs and brought it home. I then obtained Minnesota title
and registration for the vehicle.
Is it weird driving on the wrong side?
It's just something you get used to. Only takes a couple days and it isn't
a big deal. Can even go through drive thrus forward. People don't always
notice, but when they do, they love it.
How are you able to get a vehicle that doesn't conform to national safety
and emissions standards?
Imported vehicles 25 years and older are exempted from such requirements.
Why did you choose to import this vehicle?
It really is just the result of a lot of problem solving I did while looking
for a new truck. I knew I wanted a small diesel, but wasn't willing to pay
$30k+ for an emissions bogged stateside diesel. I looked into importing, and
learned how to do it.
What about parts availability?
This Hilux shares about 95% of the parts with stateside 4runners of the same era.
For diesel specific parts, I use a UK outfit that deals with Toyota truck
parts specifically, roughtrax4x4.com.
How come this vehicle doesn't have a VIN?
Vehicles outside North American markets do not have a VIN, but a Frame
or Chassis Number. Basically a serial number but not standardized by an
