This is the first generation of the American icon. The vehicle we all watched on TV in Operation Desert Storm. The HUMVEE. This is a 1987 M1038 with 2700 miles that has been meticulously gone through and refurbished and revamped to a more modern and drivable HUMVEE. More comfortable seats along with accessories such as phone chargers have been installed. A step down transformer that converts 24 volt to 12 volt power supply has been added along with a 24 volt battery maintainer. All tucked away nice and secure under passenger seat. An RV standard 120V receptacle took place of the slave receptacle. No need to remove passenger seat to access charging or maintaining. All parts that were replaced or changed are genuine AM General. This vehicle was never deployed and from the looks of it was rarely used off road. All new wheels and tires have been installed. (run flats were not installed for better drivability on the road) Wheels are Cerakoted armor black with all new hardware. Wheels are true 24 bolt 2 piece wheels that are stamped with DOT approval. Tires have 99% tread life left. The body is straight and clean and sprayed in Raptor Liner custom color OD Green. The texture is very fine. All lights were replaced with standard incandescent factory lights accept for headlights. Headlights are Trucklite 24V military standard equipment with heaters. No pigtail conversions. All lights were disassembled and sprayed with Raptor Liner in black. All hardware was replaced with Grade 8 or stainless. Dash, shifter, windshield trim, and rear bumper were also sprayed in Raptor Liner Black.

Most of these parts were replaced to make the restoration easier. They didnt need to be replaced but would have taken more time to prep than to just buy new. This vehicle is titled and registered with an on-road title in the state of Texas. I have driven approximately 220 miles since restoration. Also included are a bunch of extra parts. No doors or rear curtain included. Fuel tank sending unit for gauge needs to be updated to new style to keep fuel needle from bouncing around.
