This exceptional 1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Final Edition is currently undergoing our comprehensive frame-off mechanical and cosmetic restoration, with an anticipated completion of October 2026.

This investment-grade 1991 Final Edition remained with just two owners before joining the Classic Gentleman collection. Aside from our acquisition, Arkansas is the only state recorded on the accompanying Carfax, a desirable distinction for collectors seeking a well-preserved Southern vehicle. Even more remarkable, the original owners carefully preserved the factory window sticker, which accompanies the vehicle and documents its original MSRP of $30,289a wonderful piece of history that has remained with the Grand Wagoneer since new.

Its mileage is documented as original, averaging fewer than 4,500 miles per year over its lifetime, reflecting decades of careful stewardship rather than daily use.

By the time this restoration is complete, it will represent far more than a beautifully restored Grand Wagoneer. This Grand Wagoneer was originally being restored for my own personal use as my summer vehicle at our lake cottage. However, too honor the delivery schedules of several customer restorations already under contract, I made the decision to postpone completion of my own Grand Wagoneer so those projects could move ahead. As a result, I won't have the opportunity to enjoy her this summer.

Rather than allowing this exceptional Final Edition to remain unfinished until next season, I have decided to make her available for reservation.

And now, the honest truth about Grand Wagoneers...

Here is perhaps the most honest paragraph you will ever read from a restoration house/dealer: in some ways, these Jeeps were difficult automobiles even when they were new.
Sometimes we wonder if automotive engineering was more of a hobby with certain Jeep executives. Consider this: the Grand Wagoneer was the last American-produced vehicle to retain a carburetor. Installing such an antiquated piece of technology on a vehicle that was still being produced into the early 1990s is a perfect illustration of just how primitive these Jeeps could be compared with other vehicles of their era.

That is why we now automatically upgrade and modernize every Grand Wagoneer we restore with modern fuel injection, eliminating the troublesome carburetor and, with it, the need for the next owner to repeatedly visit his local Jeep service advisor asking him to coax the thing back into proper adjustment.
But in many other respects, we cannot simply rewrite the way these vehicles were engineered and manufactured. We are, to some degree, always working within the limitations of the original factory design. Outdated technology, old-fashioned manufacturing methods, complicated vacuum systems, primitive electrical architecture, and other quirks are simply part of the Grand Wagoneer story.

Did you know that you can remove the grille from a final-year 1991 Grand Wagoneer and still see, behind it, the round openings designed for the headlights used on the original 1963 Wagoneer? That is just one small example of how much of the original architecture remained with these vehicles through the years.
So please understand what you are buying. Even a beautifully restored Grand Wagoneer will require more maintenance and periodic servicing than a modern automobile. That is simply the truth, fellow enthusiast. These are vintage vehicles, and they should be treated as such.

If you require the completely trouble-free, appliance-like ownership experience of a modern automobile, we would candidly suggest that a vintage Grand Wagoneer may not be for you.
But if you can accept the occasional quirk, the need for maintenance, and the responsibility that comes with owning an old automobile, there is very little else quite like a Grand Wagoneer.
