Styling cues for the S2 was a new integrated front bumper and a new tail end treatment. Also, the S2 model featured a Cabriolet configuration available for the first time in the 944 line up. Once again, Porsche had managed to creat a desirable open-top variant of its popular road-going sports car.

Its livery consisted of Alpine White exterior paint, Blue partial leather interior and Blue cloth convertible top; options included Limited Slip Differential, Hi-Fi Sound system (Reno), Amplifier System with 4 X 20 Watt speakers and Partial Leather Front seats. Today, at just 44289 miles, this S2 Cabriolet remains in very impressive condition in all areas. The original radio has been professionally replaced with a Kenwood system with in dash CD, with that exception, the car remains as it left the original selling dealer.

Mechanically, this S2 Cabriolet is spot on, pulling strong in every gear, shifts smoothly from gear to gear, the suspension remains tight, steering responsive and brakes quickly. The car shows all the signs of consistent care and timely maintenance. Recent services include: New factory correct convertible top, Front rotors and brakes, rear brakes, inner and outer wheel bearings, axle bearings, valve cover gasket, cam seals, A/C service, frequent oil services and routine fixes.
