The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.
Classic Car Overview
Mine is black on black and beautiful. Everything works and probably has the coldest AC I have ever felt. It has had a the r134a conversion.
The 928 had two maintenence requirements that had to be done, the timing belt and engine/transmission mounts. I have done both and have not even put 200 miles on it since having the timing belt and engine/transmission mounts done. This car needs nothing and is ready to have fune with.
The 5.0 32 valve V8 is amazing and it starts right up. No smoke or oil burning and the oil pressure is fantastic. It shifts like butter and is just a joy to drive.
The interior is black and the seats, dash and everything look amazing. No tears, fading or cracks anywhere.
I also have a certificate of authenticity from Porsche on it and every service record from when it was built till now. This is probably the best documented 928 in existence and all the records coem in a nice binder. Numbers matching, original paint and just outstanding. Always garaged.
Why am I selling it? I have 3 Porsches
(997 turbo, 1975 911s and the 928) and my wife is about to kill me because I am looking at a 993. One has to go or she might decide I have to go if I buy another one! lol.
I occasionally take it to Cars and Coffee, park it amongst 30 911's and it gets more attention than all the 911's.
