The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.
Classic Car Overview
Dallas Motorsports is proud to present this alluring 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet that is being kept in our showroom just outside of downtown Wylie, Texas.Coming to us from a long time Porsche enthusiast who has spent the past year fine tuning the car since his purchase resulting in a charming experience on the open road. Having crossed just 63,056 miles in its lifetime this particular example presents very nicely in its Schwartz (black) paint, and has been kept to an excellent driver standard. The interior presents equally as well in its burgundy leather interior, and still gives off that distinctive leather aroma that this era or Porsches are known for. This 911 received a full engine rebuild in 2011 at just over 60,000 miles that totaled to over $22,000 in work. As a result, it is mechanically fresh and ready for the next owner to enjoy immediately without having to worry. In fact, the undercarriage shows that it is remarkably dry, a welcome rarity for air-cooled 911 s. During the engine rebuild the clutch was also replaced making the 5-speed transmission excellent to operate. The convertible top also operates as it should without issues, and provides an excellent open cockpit driving experience on sunny days. This C4 grants the driver a thrill only known to the 911, with the added assurance of four-wheel drive. While accelerating through bends it grips remarkably well, and feels more planted than a rear-wheel drive 911. Adding to this sensation are the very desirable optional sport seats that grip the driver equally well in turns on spirited drives that the Porsche 911 was built for. A mechanical experience that is lost in today s turn of the century technology, the visceral experience provided by an air-cooled 911 is alive and well with this specimen, and is sure to be enjoyed by the its next care-taker.This 964 is complete with books, tools, air compressor, Engine Rebuild records, Convertible top cover, and a custom interior tonneau cover to protect the interior when parked with the top down.Call or text Karl Lenderman at 817-994-4326 or email us at Sales@Dallasmotorsports.com for more information or to schedule a time to visit our facility and view the 964 in person!!
