VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Classic Car Overview

Motivated Seller - Too many cars says my better half.  And I just purchased a 2026 Corvette!

This two-owner, all original, 1990 Jaguar XJ-S is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering and brakes, air conditioning, cruise control, a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo, power windows, and a power antenna. Finished in Diamond Blue Metallic and equipped with a dark blue power soft top over an Isis Blue Leather interior, this Jaguar comes with recent service records, owner's manuals, a clear title, and registered in Calif til Apr 2027.

The exterior is finished in the original factory-applied Diamond Blue Metallic (code JFN). Features include chrome bumpers with black impact trim, U.S.-spec headlights, dual mirrors, side impact moldings, a dark blue cloth power convertible top, and a power antenna.

A set of silver 15-inch cross-laced Jaguar alloy wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

The bucket seats are upholstered in Isis Blue leather (code JEF). Features include power steering and windows, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, wood accents, a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo, air conditioning, a driver-side airbag, cruise control, and a blue convertible top boot.

Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The odometer reads 75,500 miles, which  I believe to be accurate.

Power is provided by a 5.3-liter V12 and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Engine output was 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque when new. The hood struts, the front shocks, the engine's front seals, the cooling hoses, the distributor, and the spark plug wires have been replaced.  The factory air conditioning system has been converted to R-134a refrigerant and comes with a new compressor, pump, dryer, filter, and expansion valve.

This Jaguar was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power four-wheel discs. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.

I have posted two videos that show the car starting up, an exterior tour, the convertible top being raised, and a road test. Recent service records and owner's manuals will come with the purchase of the car.  Recent new factory spec convertible top with new headliner and new lift cables, professionally installed. Email or Text me for new pictures of the NEW top and videos of top raising and lowering if interested.  asch713@gmail.com or (760)703-4613  For some reason that I haven't been able to figure out the new videos are grainy when transferred to YouTube.  However, they are clear when I send from phone to phone or via email.

This vehicle is in exceptional condition for an all original exterior, interior, and running gear.  It is totally rust free has been mechanically maintained by Coventry Cars of San Diego.
