This car has been in my family since my father-in-law ordered it in 1989. He ordered with every option available at the time. He loved the truck but drove it very little due to his age. I began restoring it four years ago and Ive just about finished. Ive replaced all rubber (belts, seals, tires, etc), the transmission, dual batteries, fuel tank, alternator, air conditioning system, brakes, misc mechanical parts and other items too numerous to mention. A professional paint job and bedliner are recent, and the interior is in pretty good shape, so Ive ignored it. Ive used mostly OEM parts, but his aftermarket radio is junk. My father-in-law maintained this truck with an open checkbook and only towed with it one time.
It came with all power features, including PS, PB, AT, PW, plus tow package, locking hubs for 4wd, turbo, bedliner, dual tanks, sliding rear window, folding mirrors, and most of all, Fords famous 7.3 liter 8-cylinder diesel engine! (Turbo charger was added by dealership before delivery). Chrome is good, all panels are straight and fit,
This is our Sunday driver but could easily become your daily driver. Current inspection, and I will have it inspected again for a buyer.
This is an antique collectable that can also be a workhorse and daily driver. Please dont lowball me, and please dont call me just so you can come and take a look. This is a beautiful piece and gets compliments everywhere it goes. Im selling it because Im looking for a new project (and my wife says its time)!
