VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Classic Car Overview

Turn heads and enjoy the sun with this beautiful 1990 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce.   1990 was the last year for the Series III spider and the Pininfarina design retains the car’s early heritage.  The 1990 is getting more rare—but don’t be afraid.  These cars are very easy to maintain and parts are readily available if needed,

Purchased in 1997 from Continental Motors (exclusive Alfa shop) and completely garaged and loved for 21 years (I am second owner).  Not concourse level but this car is superbly maintained and runs great.  Over the years have replaced several systems including water pump, both gas pumps, shocks and got a new paint job and carpet.  Just last year put $3500 into her for a complete new brake system including master and slave and all new lines, all near wheel bearings, engine mounts and a rear differential seal (Mondino Imports, Colorado Springs).   I have almost all records for this stunning machine.   It has always been garaged having lived in Connecticut, Texas, Colorado and now Arizona.  Not a hint of rust on her.  Canvas top was replaced in 2000 and is in perfect condition as is the tonneau cover.

So what’s needed?  Really nothing unless you want to invest in upholstery.  It is in decent shape but driver’s seat has a small tear and the door panels need new clips.  The car has a small oil drip but has always had that and the mechanics all say it’s not worth fixing.  Transmission is great and very smooth, but 2nd can be slightly sticky until warmed up and then it cruises.   AC runs but not terribly well.  Heater is terrific.

Fun, fun car.  It turns heads, is easy to drive and maintain.  Great for taking your friends, spouse or lover for a drive.  ????   La Belle Vita!
