VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Classic Car Overview

Compact, capable, and genuinely fun to drive, the Suzuki Sidekick built a loyal following in the late 80s and early 90s for its go anywhere attitude in a small, approachable package. This JX has been well maintained with a long list of recent mechanical work, including a new exhaust, new clutch, new timing belt, and new water pump, giving it a fresh foundation thats ready for years of continued use and adventure.

Finished in a lively Apple Red with a white convertible top, this Sidekick has a fun, playful look that stands out immediately, perfect for open air cruising whenever the weather allows. The color combination gives it real personality and makes it just as much a head turner today as it was when new.

Power comes from a 1.6L inline four paired with a true 5 speed manual transmission, sending power through a genuine 4x4 drivetrain that gives this little Suzuki real off road capability alongside its everyday drivability. Its a simple, mechanically honest setup thats easy to maintain and a blast to drive, whether on the trail or around town.

Inside, tan cloth seating keeps the cabin bright and inviting, complementing the exteriors cheerful color scheme. An aftermarket stereo has been added for a bit of modern convenience, rounding out a cabin that stays true to the Sidekicks simple, no frills charm.

This Sidekick JX is a great example of a fun, capable little 4x4 backed by recent mechanical work, offering open top adventure and genuine off road ability in a package thats easy to own and even easier to enjoy.
