Classic Car Overview

This 928 S4 was purchased new by a College Professor in Tampa Bay, Florida, then moved to Marina Del Rey, California. Writer/Director Gregory Falatek needed a period-correct car for the character of a wealthy doctor to film "Elmwood Park" in March of 2026. Stony Creek Studios purchased the car for the express purpose of filming the movie starring James Duval (Donnie Darko), Bai Ling (The Crow), Catherine Curtin (The Office and Stranger Things), and Keith Richards (Uncut Gems). The vehicle was transported from Tampa Bay Porsche to Main Line Porsche in Philadelphia. The shoot took 21 days, 20+ locations, 55 principal cast members, and a powerful crew of 10. The Director (Gregory Falatek) and Producer (Codi Chun) pulled off the impossible and completed production on what most people have called "an incredible writing sample that will never be produced." Once the vehicle arrived at Porsche Main Line, to ensure the safety of the actors and crew, as well as the film's pristine aesthetics, it underwent the Porsche Classic Certification Process. The car arrived on set in mint condition, having never been driven in the rain for the past 15 years; however, Porsche Main Line spent an additional $10,000 to $15,000 replacing every component that could have failed. The service lists from Florida and PA are detailed and comprehensive, affecting every aspect of the vehicle, from electrical fuses, relays, sunroof, and power window motors, to new tires, suspension components, and tie rod ends. Even the window tint was replaced to get the correct luminosity and hue on film. Anything that did not look new was replaced with OEM Porsche parts directly from Germany.
