The 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet offered here is presented from long-term single ownership. The 911 was registered in France on 24 April 1989 by its Paris-based consigning owner, who has kept the car from new. Built to North American specification, with US-style bumpers and equipped with the region-exclusive Type 930/68 3.3-litre flat-six engine rated for 280 horsepower, the car was lightly adapted for use in Europe with the fitment of a km/h speedometer and a French importer tag.
Upon leaving Porsches famous Stuttgart factory, with production completed on 17 March 1989, the 911 wore Slate Grey Metallic paintwork with a Black soft-top hood and complemented by a Black leather interior, which is still present today. Specified with the desirable Getrag G50 five-speed gearbox, the 911 was equipped with optional extras that included heated front seats, a shorter gear shift lever, and luggage compartment finished in Black velour, further to the fitment of a Blaupunkt Reno SQR 46 radio, additional amplifier, and differential lock.
Now showing a modest 34,779 kilometres on its odometer after nearly 37 years with its long-term curator, the Porsche benefits from December 2024 service work verified by invoices on file and is offered for sale with its factory-supplied books and manuals in a Porsche folio. It is further accompanied by original copies of important paperwork relevant to its initial French registration, including the Procs-Verbal de Rception (homologation sheet), Certificat dImmatriculation Provisoire de Vhicule (temporary registration), and final registration.
