Classic Car Overview
This 1989 Porsche is one of 200 cabriolets produced to celebrate 25 years of the 911 in the US, and it was acquired by the seller in January 2019. The car is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a G50 five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Silver Metallic over Silk Grey leather. Equipment includes a Fabspeed exhaust system, 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels with body color centers, a black convertible soft top, a rear spoiler, power-adjustable front seats, a short shifter, an alarm system, cruise control, an Alpine stereo, and air conditioning. The battery was replaced in December 2021. This Carrera 25th Anniversary cabriolet shows 82k miles and is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, multiple keys, service records, a Porsche CD-2 stereo, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is one of 160 25th Anniversary Edition cabriolets finished in Silver Metallic (L980), and it features a black convertible soft top. Additional equipment includes a rear spoiler, integrated fog lights, and heated power-adjustable side mirrors.
The 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels feature body color centers and anodized lips, and they are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact DW Tuned tires that are said to have been installed recently. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in Silk Grey leather with black piping, and the cabin features matching rear seats and door panels as well as a black upper dashboard. Amenities include a short shifter, an alarm system, cruise control, air conditioning, an Alpine stereo, and power windows and locks. A Porsche CD-2 stereo is included in the sale. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a Quarz clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 82k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership. The air-cooled 3.2L M930/25 flat-six features Bosch Motronic engine management and was factory rated at 214 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale, and the battery was replaced in December 2021. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle. A Fabspeed exhaust system has been installed.
The sale includes manufacturer’s literature, multiple keys, a Porsche CD-2 stereo, and a 1989 Porsche 911 Special Edition fact sheet. The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists registration history in New York, Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Kansas, and California.
