1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL

We sold this lovely 560SL several years ago to one of our favorite clients here in Texas. As time has passed the need for our client to downsize his collection has placed this Mercedes once again proudly on our showroom floor. We have a fondness for these models, the 89 560s in particular....the last in a 18 year run of this series of luxury 2-seater convertibles. Under the hood rests a 5.6L 16V V8 engine equipped with Bosch KE-Jetronic Fuel Injection producing 227HP and 275lb./ft. of torque. As is expected from a 560 series, the ride and acceleration are smooth and efficiently managed. The engineering is impressive although absent of the hi-tech gadgetry that we expect in newer offerings.....we prefer the elegant simplicity of this version. This example is equipped with power windows, automatic climate control, AM-FM audio and the very rare rear jump seat option. The car has two tops, one cloth fold-down and a removable hard top, both in excellent condition. The exterior is finished in Black Pearl Poly, it shows beautifully and contrasts well with the Palomino interior.
