1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL

Newly restored, ready to drive 1989 Mercedes Benz 560SL is offered for sale. The 1989 560SL is the final year of production and the most advanced edition of the classic Mercedes R107 Roadster series of the 1970s and 1980s.
This 560SL Roadster comes with a clear title in seller's name, a clean Carfax and has many extras:
- The original MB Artic White paint has undergone professional restoration including detailed paint correction and Ceramic coating which will keep the original exterior paint looking sharp for years to come. Interior has been restored with new leather upholstery.
- New larger 16 inch wheels with lower profile Continental tire have been installed on vehicle giving it a sportier look and feel, however, the OEM original 15 wheels in very good condition are included with the sale if you prefer the original look.
- The air conditioning system has been completely serviced, including replacing the AC compressor, and blows out cold air even here in South Florida in July.
- The original radio has been updated with a low profile but highly capable Pioneer AVH3500NEX Audio-Visual system. The system has a built in motorized 7 touchscreen display which is retractable giving it the best of both worlds. With the screen in, the unit has the small footprint of a single DIN radio not interfering with the vintage look of original dash, perfect for listening to your music or favorite streaming source, and with the screen out, perfect for GPS navigating with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
- This 560SL comes with and OEM hard top and storage dolly for easy handling. The hard top in original Mercedes Benz Artic White Hard top was also paint restored to match body of vehicle. The original convertible top has been replaced on the vehicle and is in very good condition
- A windscreen has also been included which mitigates the wind and noise at high speeds with the top down so you can easily have a conversation or listen to music.
- The orginal MB first aid kit and tool set as shown in picture is included in sale.
- The 1989 MB 560SL came with many advanced features like a powerful 5.45 liter V8 engine, anti-lock disc brakes, cruise control, power door locking, power antenna, all of it restored to good working condition.
- The vehicle has had an extensive list of recent mechanical repairs and parts replaced to get it in this good condition. There are no leaks, and any worn or defective parts have been replaced. Prior to putting vehicle for sale I had a complete inspection done by a repair facility that specializes in vintage Mercedes Benz cars - the inspection came up with only 2 main items: 1/ the rotors for front brakes are in marginal condition but front brake pads are new (rear brakes/rotors are good). 2/ The exhaust heat shields have rust on them, however, the exhaust itself is ok. A 3rd item is a small oil seep from rear main seal and oil filter housing gasket ( the vehicle inspector said this is endemic to this series of vehicle and not a concern).
