Since its official establishment in 1963, the Lamborghini nameplate has carried a sort of allure and flamboyant excellence that has driven the company to the very top of the luxury sports car market. First making his mark with the 350 GTV a year after his debut, company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini would waste no time by releasing an all-new revolutionary model in 1966 known as the Miura. It became the first production supercar with a rear mid-engine two-seat layout and became the fastest production road car the world had seen. The layout would become the gold standard for almost all high-performance sports and supercars to be the blueprint for Lamborghinis near-future success. The Miura gave the raging bull traction in the market, but it was in 1974 when the Countach was released from the companys Italian stable and refined the Lamborghini name, giving the marque a famous edge that consisted of wild styling and equally impressive performance. The Countach would go through five different distant variations during its 16-year production run, and the last and final version in 1989 and 1990 would be the most aggressive and aesthetically pleasing form the world had seen.
