1989 Jeep Wrangler 4WD Islander

4.2L straight six with added Howell fuel injection system. 20,000 miles on replaced engine. I bought this jeep in 2008, purchased a new motor and did a full rebore and added headers and Howell fuel injection. Rebuilt the transmission at Cottman for 5.5k, added a bikini top, wheel spacers, lift, a 6k stereo and alarm, stripped down and repainted the entire jeep with mint blue pearl, added raptor flooring, added custom fenders and rock rails, bikini doors. The motor has about 20k on it and runs perfect although the mileage says 160. The mileage was up there when I bought it and it did not run. Added new exhaust system and chrome dash plate. There is a built in amp and option for the old ipod, as well as a separate breaker switch in the engine compartment to disconnect the stereo system. There are 4 JL audio outboard speakers that work great. The sub I had custom installed in the back has become unhooked and needs to be rewired. The stereo system/radio works great and has a remote. The alarm is disconnected. I just added a new battery, new seat covers, new floor mats. There are a few things that need to be fixed. The floater in the fuel tank does not read and does not show the fuel amount on the dash. Needs a new floater which is pretty cheap. I keep record of mileage to determine when to fill up. Even though I painted the jeep fully in 2008 it has been almost 20 years and needs some fix ups due to a few small rust spots on the body. The blinker switch needs to be fixed. The break lines are new and were recently replaced. The radiator is new as well. I have both full jeep doors and hard top which are not currently on the jeep. I had fog lights and side rails customized and added via welding. The fog lights are currently disconnected. If I was keeping this jeep to make it optimal, I would have it stripped and repainted, I would add new raptor flooring again as the current has been peeling, I would fix the blinker wiring and reconnect the sub. That would make it perfect. The jeep has a lot of power and the engine starts instantly with the fuel injection. It's definitely a beach vehicle and a classic. I have loved this thing and would keep it if I had time to use it more. It's definitely for the jeep lover and collector.
