1989 Cadillac De Ville Sedan

1989 Cadillac Sedan DeVille in good to very good condition, with mileage less than 142,700 miles.

This is a daily-driver and reliable vehicle. The miles on it are mostly highway.  I am a cautious / conservative driver and I rarely exceed 60 MPH and never do Jackrabbit starts and stops. I consider heavy footed driving to be counter productive and causes unnecessary wear and tear, adding considerably to the life cycle cost of owning vehicle.

Since I bought the car in 2000 (27,000 mi) from the original owners, the car has received on-time oil changes using only Mobile 1 (synthetic oil).  The A/C was converted to use current refrigerants.   The engine does not leak oil and uses abut a quart between oil changes.  Window seals are tight.  All dials and lights function properly.  The spedometer is spot-on at 60 mph as calibrated by GPS.

The vehicle has never been in an accident, the body and frame are straight and the original paint is in excellent condition. The vehicle was purchased in Fort Worth, Texas and has remained in the DFW area its entire life; It has never been exposed to road salt or salt air.

The car has a smooth, quiet ride and looks quite good, despite her age. The only reason I’m considering selling her, is because I want a car with all the new safety features (back-up camera, multiple airbags, accident braking, lane departure warning, etc...)

This is a classic beauty worth buying, to drive worry-free on a daily basis, or to restore to pristine condition with minimal cost.

Vehicle faults:   Headliner needs to be replaced, carpets shampooed, brake rotors machined, Blower speed control needs to  be replaced - the blower stays on after the ignition is turned off, but the electronic climate control HVAC works fine otherwise. -  Blower control  currently unplugged to keep the battery from being drained after driving.   Speakers are old and crackle (stereo and antennae are fully functional).
